The Shakespeare Experience

its sad :) i should've taken a picture. but i will next time. promise. so todays gastronomical journey took tummy dearest to one of my favorite places... Shakespeare & Co at Al Safa.

ordered the yummylicious English breakfast with the orange juice and english breakfast tea combo. thoroughly enjoyed the toast laden with melting butter and dripping marmalade. its funny. i didnt like the slightly bitter taste of marmalade when i was younger but now i do. it reminds me of abu. :) he loved the stuff.

my omelette was tomatoes, onions, green chillies and cheese and loverly. sometimes they end up a bit on the dry overly cooked side but today it was good. next time i'll ask them to add crushed red pepper to the omelette like my nano used to make it :) she even ate her fried eggs with red pepper instead of black lol :) its an experience. everyone should try that once.

the lunch was rounded off with a nice steaming hot chocolate fondant (the molten lava cake version) with lovely icecream. its awe-fome. seriously!

best part is the kids room. they sat there on the beanies and the cute  little table. and all the mess (and there WAS a mess!) was contained therein while i munched away in delirious peace.
and that was that.

late afternoon found some hummous and leftover pitas in the off-lounge so munched a bit with some lipton Cinnamon tea. relax-zing.

so thats me :) all happy for the day..
